Sailor honored for saving life

MILTON, Fla. – The City of Milton honored a Naval Air Station Whiting Field sailor last month for helping a mother and small child at the scene of an accident. It was Jan. 16 that Master at Arms 1st Class Joseph Pellicano and Religious Programs Specialist 2nd Class Aaron Spengler were driving home from work when they stopped at the scene of an accident. Spengler helped calm the mother while Pellicano administered CPR to the 17-month old infant. After a few minutes, the child gasped and began to move about the time emergency services arrived on the scene and prepared the child for transport. The young boy has since made a full recovery from his injuries. (Source: Whiting Tower, 05/24/17)
